Checks can be given to our Facility Manager if meeting in person or mailed to Hanover Historical Society, P.O. Box 13, Hanover, MN 55341 or you can always Venmo us (Listed under Charities) @HHS_MN . Thank you for your donation!
The building and grounds were donated to the Hanover Historical Society in April of 2018.
Since then, the Historical Society has maintained the facility and is executing the vision of a Community Use space available to any and all local individuals and organizations that have a need for an event space, meeting space or other use consistent with the Mission of the Hanover Historical Society.
The lower level of the History Center will be used to display the collection of historic items owned by the Historical Society, and the upper level of the History Center will be available for parties, meetings, and receptions for any weddings that may take place in the Prairie Church event space.
The “Prairie Church” portion of the building (the name was at one time an informal moniker) is the original structure used for worship and community meetings dating back to 1885. The Historical Society is committed to preserving the church and adhering to its original appearance that Michael Schendel worked so diligently to create.
The Prairie Church is the perfect small wedding venue in a historic setting, and is available to the public.
Please contact the Hanover Historical Society by email at info@hanoverhistoricalsociety.org to reserve the space for your next event – or fill out our Reservation Request Form to provide us with the details of your event.
